Congratulations, Megan!! I’m so proud of you. I’ve been following your journey and throwing in a prayer here and there for you. What an amazing story you will be able to tell your grandchildren! Many blessings to you. Now you can rest for the remainer of your summer. Best, Edward, Rozella, Emily & John Hernandez
Meg, here we are at the Pier waiting to share in some small way your HUGE accomplishment. We are bursting with pride and love. Can’t wait to see that moment of sheer JOY on your face when you reach the end. My love always, Grammy
I just met Megan and the group to interview them for upcoming editions of The Desert Trail, the weekly newspaper serving Twentynine Palms, CA, and the Hi-Desert Star, a twice-weekly serving Yucca Valley, CA. What a great group of kids. They looked well, if a little tired, and they’re an enthusiastic bunch. The just left about a half-hour ago, heading west to YV before heading to Lucerne Valley, where they’ll camp for the night. Way to go! ~Kelly O’Sullivan
Hey Megan,
I am Jesse’s mom and am so happy to have found your website so I can follow the trip’s progress. Yesterday I saw some photos that were posted. It was great to see all the trip participants, and of course get a glimpse of my son! You all look strong, happy, and very tan! Can’t wait to read more about the trip once you have time to write when you are finished! Only a couple of more days!
Congratulations!

Hey Megan!
Of course we cannot wait to see you arrive on the West Coast chica! Enjoy the ride and appreciate the adventure because very few people in this world have the courage to do what you are doing; But also remember to see the beauty in the little things as you journey across the United States-the people, the roads, the flowers, the towns along the way- it is all part of who we are as a country. You have a magnificent opportunity to experience what most of us have never seen!
Hey Megan, this is Christy Munger in development at helping hand! Thanks so much for all you’re doing- this is quite a chunk of change that you have raised. I love biking. I am so jealous of you seeing the country while on the road and you will be incredibly fit when you come back, you will smoke the people biking on Bee Caves! How fun!!
Megan.
You are amazing and inspiring beyond my abilty to put into words . When I think about what you are doing I get goosebumps. Cool website. When you are biking through the grand canyon and across the mountains think of the pioneers who crossed with children and household goods, they didn’t have any roads, hotels or modern communication. Enjoy the experience…maybe do a slide/show or blog when you are done. Megan & Chris
