About Megan
Megan Bentzin is a true Austinite, fifteen, and in the ninth grade. Megan currently attends St. Andrew’s Episcopal High School, where she is a straight A student and is thouroughly acitve in school activities. She has been a member of the track and basketball teams since the fifth grade and a member of the cross country team since eighth grade. Megan’s hobbies include reading, water skiing, traveling, running, scuba diving, sailing, photography and generally being active.
Megan has been inspired to strive to do her best and take on challenges by her track and cross country coach Gilbert Tuhabonye. The American Challenge will give Megan the chance to push herself and to benefit the children at the Helping Hand Home as she is driven to complete the three thousand mile ride. Megan’s past feats have been her completion of the AT&T Half Marathon, the Outward Bound Wilderness Course, and exploration of all seven continents. Her favorite things inculde running, Whole Foods, Austin, music, and being happy.
